Having an assortment of tropical plants in your home is like creating an oasis of lush greenery, a peaceful place to retreat no matter what life throws at you. Plants add personality to your home and clean the air as well. A little bit of homegrown happiness in your everyday life!
The secret to keeping a plant healthy and happy is to envision their native habitat and do what you can to replicate those conditions in your home. Giving your plants an environment that meets their needs will ensure your plants survive, thrive, and look even more fabulous as they grow.
Each type of tropical plant will have its own unique care requirements for light and watering. There are many resources available, and we would be happy to assist with your research and plant selection!
Cacti & Succulents
Indoors, you will want to place your cacti and succulents near a window that gets light all day. If this is not an option, place your cacti in the brightest available area.
These plants do not need to be watered very often. They like their roots to be soaked and then left until they have dried right out (approximately every 2 weeks). You can also mist your cacti and succulent.
Lastly, the best advice we can give is to try and mimic the plant’s natural habitat as closely as possible.
